Baltimore John Needles Classical Work Table Baltimore, c.1825


a Classical carved mahogany work table; probably by John Needles, based on a nearly identical labeled example pictured in Classical Maryland, 1815-1845; poplar, white pine, and maple secondary woods; in excellent condition with a small non-structural 2″ patch to the reeding of one leg; replaced brass pulls with original corner drops and inlaid ebony “kite” escutcheons, identical to those on the aforementioned example; dimensions: 30″ h. x 20 1/2″ w. x 17″ d.
