a solid mahogany tilt-top candle stand; the shaped top has double reeding along its edge; the “bulbous double-vase-and-multiple-ring shaft” is identical to that found on item 137 (page 170) in Gregory Weidman’s book Furniture in Maryland 1740 – 1940; doweled repair to bottom edge of pedestal and small wedge patch spliced to top edge; dimensions: 28” tall x 16” wide x 24” long
