A Baltimore Mahogany Breakfast Table, c.1825

A highly figured mahogany Pembroke or breakfast table; the heavy leg reeding, low vase and ring turnings of the shaft, and reeding of the top edges are all Baltimore attributes; appears to retain original cut glass pulls; the secondary woods are poplar and oak; a nearly identical table attributed to John Needles can be found in Weidman’s Furniture in Maryland, 1740-1940, fig.156 on page 184
