Maryland Federal Inlaid Mahogany Pembroke Table, c.1810

an inlaid mahogany Pembroke table; a one-board figured top and drop leaves over poplar medial brace and inner rails with oak fly rails; the aprons are veneered in figured mahogany with original inlaid banding; in excellent structural condition, retaining all four original poplar glue blocks; while this table might well be from Baltimore, its recent history of ownership as well as the restrained use of inlay on “city-imported” mahogany could indicate a Hagerstown or Frederick, Maryland origin; dimensions: 28 3/4″ tall x 19 3/4″ wide (leaves down) x 34 3/4″ deep (scroll down for top image)
